Remember Lexus LFA that crashed in the US a few months ago? Well, the good news is that it’s being rebuilt. However, the repair process won’t be as straightforward as any other Lexus. It will also be quite expensive.

David Patterson (@thatdudeinblue) got a chance to take a closer look at the damaged LFA. In a recent video posted on YouTube, David gives us a tour of the LFA detailing all the damaged parts, and there are a lot of them.

The Lexus LFA uses a lot of carbon fibre in its construction. There are several carbon body panels on this car that would need replacing, and some of them are not just expensive but are also difficult to find. The carbon door skin alone is said to cost $40,000.

As you would’ve guessed, the parts alone will cost a bomb. The owner estimates the final repair bill could be around $500,000!
